Deanna Sills has a degree in Voice Performance from the University of Victoria (1989), where she studied under Susan Young.
Following her degree, Deanna performed in the chorus of several operas undertaken by Pacific Opera Victoria in their 1990/1991 seasons including the role of Edith in Gilbert & Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance.
Deanna has done lots of choral work while at university including the paid soprano position at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Victoria, and later, performed a season with Cappriccio Vocal Ensemble under the direction of Michael Gormley.
She has for over 20 years been a member of her church’s worship team. After a number of years away from solo classical performance, Deanna reignited her adventures in solo singing art songs with the Vaughan Williams Project in 2018.
