Marnie Slavnik

Marnie was born and raised in Ontario and after raising two children, she and her husband Ron moved to Vancouver Island in August of 2016.

As a child and young adult, Marnie took piano lessons and played french horn in the high school band for 4 years. She sang in choirs in middle school but then not again until she joined the Victoria Choral Society in September of 2016, just after moving to Victoria. She has participated in the Summer Academy Choral Program and the choral stream of the Summer Academy Oratorio Program at The Victoria Conservatory of Music, where she has also been taking private voice lessons for three years.

Marnie is excited to be a part of the Mahler Project and to take that deep dive into the music with her fellow soloists, pianists and coaches.
