Robin Sudbury began singing at an early age. Her mother, Fiona Sudbury, was the accompanist for her elementary school choirs and music always filled the home. Robin and Fiona continue their life-long musical collaboration with the 2019 Mahler project.
Initially focused on jazz and musical theatre, Robin became interested in classical voice in her early 20’s. She has participated in a number of choirs including the Victoria Choral Society, Vancouver Bach Choir, and Josquin Singers. She is currently a member of the Vox Humana Chamber Choir. She has her Grade 6 piano and Grade 7 voice accreditations.
Robin’s life outside of music is also highly creative. She has a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Victoria and an MA in History of Art from the University of York, UK. In 2008, she relocated to Vancouver to study Interior Design at BCIT. After nearly 8 years in the big city, she came home to Victoria in 2016. A brief stint in the world of high-end furniture sales lead to her current role as an Interior Designer for the Government of BC.
