I am lost to the world, with which I used to waste so much time; It has known nothing of me for so long, it may well believe that I have died.
Nor am I in the least concerned, if it should assume that I am dead.
I can say nothing in response to the idea, for truly, I am dead to the world’s tumult, and rest in a quiet realm.
I live alone in myself, and in my heaven. In my love, in my song.
