Tim Marks

Tim Marks began piano lessons as a young person, and completed his Royal Conservatory of Music Grade 9 piano as a teenager.  Recently retired, Tim is currently studying piano with Robert Holliston at the Victoria Conservatory of Music.

Tim has extensive experience in choral singing, performing currently with Vox Humana Chamber Choir and the Victoria Choral Society.  He began singing with the Scarboro United Church Choir in Calgary almost 30 years ago, and has performed with several choirs over the years in both Calgary and Vancouver.  Tim is currently studying voice at the Victoria Conservatory of Music with Georgina Craig.

With limited experience as a solo singer, and even less experience accompanying singers as a pianist, Tim decided to take on the challenge of learning the art of collaborative piano on the Vaughan Williams Project in 2017.

He has returned to learn more about the challenges and pleasures of art song performance – like before, studying as both a pianist and singer – on the Mahler Project.
